Day 1 of Galle Test: Green shirts 24  runs after losing 2 wickets

The first day's play of the first test match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka has come to an end, the green cap has scored 24 runs for 2 wickets.

On the first day of the Galle Test, Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat, but the hosts were bowled out for 222 in 66.1 overs.

In reply, Abdullah Shafiq and Imamul Haq opened the innings for Pakistan, both players returned to the pavilion after scoring 13 and 2 runs respectively.

The green cap ended the day with 24 for 2 in 18 overs, Azhar Ali 3 and captain Babar Azam not out for 1, Sri Lanka still leading by 198 runs.
Sri Lankan bowlers Kiswan Rajitha and Prabath Jayasuriya took 1 wicket each.

Earlier, Pakistan had eliminated the Sri Lankan batting order on the first day thanks to Shaheen Shah Afridi's 4 wickets, Hasan Ali and Yasir Shah's 2 and 2 wickets respectively.
