ODI cricket should be abolished, Wasim Akram

Former captain of the national cricket team Wasim Akram has said that I think ODI cricket should be removed from the international calendar now.

Wasim Akram said that the cricket authorities should consider ending the 50-over matches.

He also said that even as a commentator I now find ODI cricket too long, T20 is easy, the game is over in four hours.

The former captain said that now leagues are being held everywhere and there is a lot of money in it, now there is only Test and T20 cricket, ODI cricket is ending.
He also said that the players are focusing on the smaller format T20 and the larger format Tests, after the T20 now it seems like ODIs are going on for several days.

He said that in England, the house is full, in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and South Africa, the stadiums are not full during ODI matches.

He said that ODI cricket is being done according to a method, the matches are only to the extent of being held now.
He said that there is a war in Test cricket. Earlier there was interest in ODI cricket, Test cricket is a format where you get selected in the World XI.

Wasim Akram expressed regret over Ben Stokes' retirement from ODI cricket and said that his retirement from ODI cricket is sad but I agree with him.
